According to a biography that Google Books published about Ose, the couple lived on a lot of land, having constructed their three-story log house.
It was not a typical suburban dwelling.
It was in a remote part of Alaska and had become a beacon for the life Ose desired to fashion. According to reports, Win the Wilderness: Alaska is over 100 miles from the nearest road, and is only available to the public by air.

What Makes Duane Ose’s Financial Story Different?
These differences lie primarily in the fact that Ose’s wealth story is not about the spending of celebrities, but rather the assets and the lifestyle.
For years he had been accumulating a vacation home. He acquired skills and abilities in the field. He had a shop. He wrote books. He was featured on television. He was also a public speaker.
That mix results in several different income and asset categories.
There’s a big difference between income, value of property and net worth, however.
For example, if someone owns a property worth $500,000 but has $200,000 in debt, their net worth is not $500,000. It would be closer to $300,000 before considering other assets and liabilities.
The same principle applies to Ose.
Without a complete financial statement, no responsible source can calculate his exact personal wealth.
Is Duane Ose A Millionaire?
No public information is available that substantiates that Duane Ose is a millionaire.
There have been estimates of millions of dollars, but they have not been consistent, and are frequently not documented in the sources that have published them online. One of the examples even mistakenly associates Ose with other business and entertainment expenses, which just goes to show why readers shouldn’t always believe everything on the net-worth blog.
The possession and cultivation of a distant Alaskan homestead is obviously an important resource in his history. His business career, his books, public lectures and television appearances may have also resulted in revenue.
Why Online Net Worth Estimates Can Be Wrong
Internet worth statements are often inaccurate. There are reasons why internet worth estimates are incorrect.
Celebrities’ net worth is estimated on many occasions by celebrity-wealth websites made up of information that is visible to the public. That may be a sound way for some entertainers who have signed contracts and have substantial businesses.
This is much more difficult with private individuals.
The difficulties Ose faces are related to the fact that:
- He has private bank accounts that are not public.
- The details of his debts are not recorded publicly.
- Not sure about the value of his property.
- His earnings from business are not reported.
- No one knows how much he is earning on television.
- His book profits are kept confidential.
- He has not been known to have invested in anything in particular.
That’s why it’s best to use a precise number as an approximation rather than a confirmed monetary figure.
